Annyeong! As the sun rises this morning, I am reminded that each day is a new opportunity and we are so blessed to have two years worth of new opportunities ahead of us, especially in the way of travel.
I have been shamelessly encouraging family members and friends to think about visiting without having much substance to provide other than getting to visit the four of us in our apartment. Since we have somewhat settled in, I’ve finally had a chance to think about some of the great places we could go. I’m dreaming of Thailand, the Great Wall of China, the Philippines, Bali and more. However, what I sadly didn’t give much thought was our own backyard, beyond Seoul and Busan.

After a little searching around, I found more than 100 amazing Korean destinations that are worth some time while we are here. Check out CNN’s list of 50 beautiful places to visit in Korea and their gallery of the 40 most beautiful places to visit in Korea.
Maybe these will spark your interest too… which leads me to my very first blog giveaway! Subscribe to my blog, and you’ll have a complimentary place to stay if you come to visit Ulsan! (Pending background check if I don’t already know you, of course. Or maybe the video doorbell could take care of that.)
For those of you who assumed Korea didn’t have much to offer, did you know that there are more than 3,000 Korean islands to visit? Mom, you may be in more of an island paradise than you would think! Here’s a list of 33 islands to consider. Too bad there aren’t many cruise ships sailing the Korean islands.
One of the island we are really looking forward to visiting once the weather is a little better is a popular island destination known as Jeju. Tourists flock here each beach season, and plane tickets can totally book out as far as two months in advance!
